Silver DofE students expedition in the New Forest

We took our Year 12 Silver DofE students on their qualifying expedition in the New Forest. We were blessed with good weather, with the only rain being intermittent on Saturday. Students planned their own routes, organized their food, and camped at two different sites in the New Forest.

We also had a birthday on Friday, celebrating with a lovely locally-made red velvet cake and a rainbow campfire! We are proud of how hard the students worked, and this resulted in a pass for all of them. This year has seen six expeditions at Bronze and Silver levels, for over 150 students across Year 10 and Year 12.

They are now working hard to complete their volunteering, physical, and skills sections, with a view to gaining a full DofE Award at Bronze or Silver. Keep an eye out for more DofE news in the new academic year, including details of our celebration event.
